Meet Thomas Emmett

My name is Thomas Emmett. I have worked at Fastcap since February of 2016. I started first in our production department and for the last 1.5 years as customer service and as our online order processor.

I enjoy every day working at FastCap. My favorite things about working here include our many shop dogs (like Yoshi the office dog), getting to spend time with my coworkers who are generous, funny, and dedicated to what they do, as well as getting to use and enjoy our beautiful facility in Ferndale, WA. I like working in our woodshop and helping out on the production floor if I am not in the office creating orders and answering customer phone calls and emails. Our focus at Fastcap on lean principles and leadership has also changed my life for the better and has lead to me enjoying my job immensely because we have eliminated so much waste and struggle from work which leaves me free to focus on the fun and challenge of keeping our customers happy.

I am originally from Bellingham, WA and love living in the PNW. I have spent time in Pullman, WA getting a bachelor’s degree in Economics at Washington State University and 2 years after that working for a custom furniture shop in Oakland, California before moving back to Bellingham and starting work at FastCap. In my free time I enjoy reading, cooking, enjoying the parks and outdoor activities in Bellingham, WA and spending time with my family. I think FastCap rocks!

Exposed!

My 2018 theme is “Expose”…expose my entire company to operational excellence around the world!
