The 2 Second Lean Japan Experience is an amazing journey into the world of Lean thinking. It is not orientated toward any specific kind of business or type of manufacturing. Rather, it is to gain a deep understanding of the philosophy that has allowed the Japanese culture to be revered as the best manufacturers in the world. From start to finish the Japanese are laser-focused on precision and quality. If we can understand WHY the Japanese think this way, we will unlock the SECRET FORMULA to answer every question about how to build excellence into our life and organization.

Tokyo/Nagoya/Kyoto Tour: on this tour, we will provide over 30 learning opportunities from dealing with top leaders in Japan, tier 2 suppliers in Toyota city, as well as an elementary school visit. We will go to the source and visit a school that will give us a window into the early training of their children. We will also visit the Toyota Techno Museum, the birthplace of the Toyota Motor Company. This mind-blowing place will chart the entire history of the Toyota Production System, including the original workshop where Sakichi Toyoda developed his first automobile as well as the production of the circular loom. Along the way, we will also visit tier 2 suppliers to Toyota as well as a working dojo so everyone can experience exactly how Toyota trains their people. On the last day we will end up in Kyoto, one of the most historically significant cities in the world let alone Japan. This time will specifically focus on understanding the culture and history of Japan, which will deepen your understanding of why they do what they do. Kyoto was a city that Steve Jobs loved to visit and we will visit some of the locations that were his favorites. Lastly, we like to call this the surprise tour, because there are a couple of surprises along the way that we really don’t want to tell you about because it increases the impact significantly when we surprise you with these special learning opportunities.
