When I was in Japan I saw this happen over and over again and I marveled at the efficiency. The workers not only bowed at the trade but they bowed at me as I got off the train … I was astounded!

Japan is about two things:
– a deep respect for people
– a deep respect for resources

I believe this is why they are so efficient and why they produce so few defects.

Largest Free Standing Bronze Buddha in the World

Paul Akers visits Ushiku Daibutsu Amida Buddha in Japan. It is the world’s tallest freestanding bronze statue. Completed in 1995, it stands a total of 120m above the ground, including the 10m high base and 10m high lotus platform. The Ushiku Daibutsu is also known as the Ushiku Arcadia (Amida’s Radiance and Compassion Actually Developing and Illuminating Area).
